Pen gun
I have a 25acp American derringer pen gun. The breech block is broken. Split down middle. Can it be fixed,or welded? What would the value be as a parts gun? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How much is a Pen Gun with the markings: Fed. Lab Inc. Pgh Pa
Pat. Dec 29th 1925
I think it shoots a .38 caliber0 -
Law enforcement sees these types of guns as threats to the personal safety of the on the street cops. And sees no legitimate value as a personal self defense item. When a gun is concealed as an everyday innocent personal item, you have stepped beyond personal defence.
And a lot of these items are illegal to possess in a lot of states.

As a LEO I totally agree with previous post. These are not designed for self defense. 0 -
Some states do allow them!
They are registed with the ATF as NFA weapons as AOW's $5 tax.
Possession of a unregisted NFA weapon will get your 20yrs & $20,000 fine. Plus the loss of all of your current weapons,etc..
Dont even think about building one!, without ATF, State & local authorization.
So be carefull! - Best bet is to check the local laws!, they be restricted in your area, if they are, you can forget about it!
If they are authorized by the local sheriff,Cops, judge etc.., proceed to your local Class 3 dealer for more info to acquire any toy you want. Better have lots of $$, class 3 is addciting.
walte in okc a class 3 state0 -
Since your from Finland, your countrys laws apply.
They (pen guns, etc) can possibly be exported to your country, if your country allows same.
Try looking at www.subguns.com goto to the NFA sections for more info.

bloody 'ell, I'm only putting up some interesting forums, dont rip into me hah. Sure tell me what you think, but yo. anyway, thanks for the previous two posts. Yeah here in finland, its a whole different ball game, i'm not used to the laws yet, but silencers and night vision scopes are alowed and also, in terms of class 3, who knows, i just have seen some AK's around here.

I wouldn't want to be holding onto that when it went off. The recoil would probably drive the device into your hand. A light pengun in 22lr should be plenty to hang on to.
By the way, the cartridge depicted looks like the obsolete Colt .44 for the 1860 Army percussion conversion.0 -
I just seen a new one at the gun shop. 22 cal. price was $219.00. A neat little toy, but it looks like a waste of money. 0
