Lock question

hey,
i was just wondering the reason behind my other forum 'cell phone gun' getting locked? only 13 people replied to it, 3 of which were me. I was kinda hoping to get that going to atleast 20 or so haha. Yeah i am just curious to what the reasoning is behind that?

    Hello IIISKAREIIKROIII (had to copy/paste that name...!!)

    I'm also new at this, but I've found that in this part of the GunBroker forum "Ask the Experts" - the topics are sometimes/usually locked, if there is 10 or more replies.
    Maybe because the first 10 usually have covered all the facts.

    In the other part of the GunBroker forum, the messages doesn't usually get locked - unless it is completely off track.

    Maybe the forum moderator can tell you something more.

    But I hope you get the info you need though.

    Peter has it. Capt. Kirk figures that the question has been answered in ten posts and beyond that is rehash or off topic and he locks the topic. He is pretty much right. If you want discussion rather than a simple answer post on general discussion.

    You heard it Correctly...I lock Topics after 10 replies or as close as I can get...It keeps the Forums Moving and Fresh...If its Opinions and Discussion Your looking for...then its the General Discussion Forums where You need to be at..Best....
