Tasco scope warranty/ Abo Usa Inc.
Has anyone ever dealt with Abo Usa Inc? I have sent several tasco/hakko super sniper scopes for repair(lifetime warranty) to tasco inc with no problems, but now that they are no longer in business(sold to bushnell)Abo Usa Inc of Miami FL is handling their warranty repairs and they now charge $23.00 instead of $10.00.They then charged me an additional $25 for parts! To make things worse my scope got returned with a lot more damage then when sent. It is a tasco ss10x42m scope which had broken glass in it(field lens). When I got it back I noticed 2 chip marks on glass! I rotated the eyepiece to focus on reticle and the whole thing came apart. There are damaged threads,plier marks, chisel marks etc..Any one out there deal with these people? Rayzor25

Just got 2 back last week that they received on 8/1/02. Had sent $20.00 (2 Scopes x 10.00). No other contact until last week when the scopes were returned and they seem to be perfect. GHD 0 -
Just went on their website and it says "$23.00 for tasco scopes" Click on the link below. If they did your tasco's for $20.00 you got a good deal!

I heard about the Tasco fiasco back in June. They filed or were sold as of 5/28/02. If you had sent stuff to them and they had it in house by 8/8/02 it was still 10.00. Mine got there according to the UPS data on 8/1/01 so I guess I got lucky. The local shop has all Tascos on sale for 50% off, no refunds, no returns, no warranty!! Probably a lot of gunshops are looking at doing the same thing!!! GHD 0
