Speed Lock Firing Pin Kit

Has any one order/installed a David Tubb Speed Lock Firing Pin Kit for any rifle. I am thinking of installing one in one of my 30-06's that I bought 40+ yrs. ago, & never replaced the pin or spring. They are available from Brownell's, & Sinclair's. I am not a gunsmith-just a hobbist. I have taken apart & cleaned the ones in my 06's, but don't know if the David Tubb kit is a "drop in" unit, or does it have to be "checked" for pin protrusion. Has any one had any experience with the kit ?
