Morning Ray; Just ran your request thru the Data Base...Nothing comes up with the Moniker of Hanover Arms Company...! Also dug thru a couple of my Books..again...Nada...Zip...Nothing with that name...Tell you what I think tho... Barrels being Stamped Belguim Steel or Twist or Laminated Steel says to me that its a Belguim Made Gun...Probably for a Hardware Company or Mail Order House somewhere here in the States, around the turn of the Century....I'd say 1895 to the Early 1900's...To be absolutly sure take a Look under the Breechend of the Barrels...There should be an Oval with the Letters E over LG in the Oval...That particular Proof Marks means it was Proofed for Export from Belguim..If there's No ELG Proof, then there will be a definitive Proof Mark in its place meaning that it was a Gun made for Local Use and will have INHOUSE Proofs....and then if thats the case yours was in all likelyhood a War Trophy..Let me know what you find, and we can research it a bit further...be nice to see a photo of this gun...I'd like to see the stock..can that be arranged?...As for value..? If its what I think it is...I'd Value it at $250.00 in Good Shooting Condition....Hope this information is of some help...Best....

It belonged to my grandfather. I don't have any history on it, just
that someone traded it to him for another shotgun. I will try and go
back down to my brother's next week, and will take a look at it again.
Also, will try and get a pic. of it and email to you. Thanks for the info.

Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.

Over 150 different names were used on these import shotguns. Every list I have seen says there were more. One day I am going to list all I can find on a thread here.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.
