Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertip - feedback?
I've used Remington 165-grain Scirocco in my M1A for hunting almost since the round was introduced. It patterns extremely well and holds at distance with my Springfield 1st-gen scope. It also knocks down deer just the way I like. The only problem: THE STUFF IS EXPENSIVE. Winchester makes a 168-grain Supreme Ballistic Silvertip which is, depending on source, considerably less expensive. Before I buy it in quantity, however, I wouldn't mind knowing if anyone has any feedback on it. I'd appreciate anything I'm given. Thanks.

Rifle,I've used the 140gr. in my 7mag a few times.Absolutely flattened a 300# hog in Texas last year along with a couple of deer. Everything I've shot with it has dropped in it's tracks.Could be because I'm such a dern fine marksman,too.Seriously,I would recommend it. It's very accurate in my 700(.075" groups quite common). I normally shoot Remington's 140gr Core-Lokt as Wal-mart usually has it for around $14 a box vs $22 for the Silvertips. Or I'll step up to the 175gr for the biggun's.Hope this helps!
