gun safe Make your own?

I want a gun safe but its a little much to pay right now. Can one buld there own safe and save money? I saw this link about it? http://www.flash.net/~wamco1nm/gsp.htm

  Have you ever SEEN one of these? Sounds like a waste of $28 to me.
  
  If you can't afford a REAL safe, at least get one of the lock boxes that are sold at the big box sporting goods stores in the $100-150 range, and bolt it to the wall.
