Can a c&r holder legally ship a handgun to an FFL holder via United States Postal Service?

I was considering getting a C&R license, but am concerned that "C & R elegible" really meany that one is elegible to be awakened at 3am by ATF agents to inspect your records. Paranoia or truth?

I know for cetain the CZ-52 in 7.62x25mm is on the list. Some German Lugers as well.

There will be a C&R list on that web page. Lot's of handguns on the C&R list. Any particular one you are looking for? Should take 3-6 weeks to get your license.

On these link you will find lots of information, also remember that the 1st rule is the 50 year rule.
If the gun is 50 years old or older it would be a C&R, the list is the 2nd way guns become C&R, many guns on the list are not there because they are old, but because something makes them unique.
DIRECT FROM THE ATF PAGE:
"Curios or relics" is defined in 27 CFR ? 178.11, as follows:
Firearms which are of special interest to collectors by reason of some quality other than is
associated with firearms intended for sporting use or as offensive or defensive weapons. To
be recognized as curios or relics, firearms must fall within one of the following categories:
(a) Firearms which were manufactured at least 50 years prior to the current date, but not
including replicas thereof;
(b) Firearms which are certified by the curator of a municipal, State, or Federal museum
which exhibits firearms to be curios or relics of museum interest; and
(c) Any other firearms which derive a substantial part of their monetary value from the fact
that they are novel, rare, bizarre, or because of their association with some historical
figure, period, or event. Proof of qualification of a particular firearm under this category may
be established by evidence of present value and evidence that like firearms are not
available except as collector's items, or that the value of like firearms available in ordinary
commercial channels is substantially less.

Allen not looking for any certain one, just noticed that as I was looking through Shotgun News, I see lots of rifles as C&R, but no handguns. thanks for the info fellas. 0
