1911 question
If you wanted a good 1911 would it be better to buy the Springfield and add the options you wanted yourself, or buy a Kimber that is already tricked out, or something else that I have not mentioned? You guys generally give good advice so that is what I am trying to get again. Thanks guys!

Since the slide lock relies on the mag follower to engage it, it sounds like your thumb may be pushing it up in recoil, this is usually the case, especially with a 2 handed grip ... can you have someone watch you while firing or use a video recorder?

Had this problem before. An after market recoil spring with a buffer was the problem. After I took the buffer out it worked perfect with either recoil spring. 0 -
Thanks for the help guys! I think I'm going to try getting 3 more wilson mags and see what happens. Maybe it is a weak spring. 0 -
After how many shots? Have a look down the barrel, there may be a bulge. 0 -
If it has been a while you might put in a fresh recoil spring. Let a smith look at it. They can usually sleuth this sort of thing pretty easily.
And yes, good mags do make a difference.
