I just bought a K98 but I need a sight hood for it. What does it look like when the front sight has a cut out for it? I'm not sure if mine does.

  Another question, what does the front sight hood do anyway? Also, do any of you know of a good gunsmith in the Minneapolis, MN area that can inspect and clean it?
