Whats the word on Adams and Bennett Barrels?

Are they any good? For a varmint rifle would I be better off with a Shilen or other?

GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY FOR A HUNTING RIFLE BUT FOR VARMIT RIFLES I'D SPEND A LITTLE MORE (THINK SHILEN, KRUEGER, DOUGLAS).

Have 1 in 257 Roberts, shoots as accurate as any other rifle i got, but for a custom varmint rifle i believe i would step up

HART, SHILEN, DOUGLAS, KRIEGER(correcting previous post) all superior match quality barrels! What makes a barrel great is a combination of things. Quality of metal is no.1. A poor quality metal with excellent machining will still not be acceptable. Quality of machining the barrel (less than 2/10000 variation in lands and grooves from one end to the other.) And great machining and fitting of said barrel to the action and the work that can be done to the action! GHD
