Belt buckle
Along with a bunch of reloading stuff I was requested by a friend
to sell for him, was a belt buckle. It measures 3 1/4" long by 2"
and 1/8" thick in what seems to be solid brass. Has a American Eagle on it with wings outspreched and 13 stars with "E pluribus unum, and surrounded with a wreath with 13 dots on it. It is for a 1 3/4" belt.
The wreath looks like German Silver. On the back is stamped 494.
Also is the brass matching other part for a hook to it. From the
patina it is not a recent thing, but possibly a old repro and serial
numbered. Would appreciate any input and value. Possibly a buckle
for a gunbelt? Many thanks.
