1911 aftermarket MATCH barrels
I am looking at those "drop-in" Match grade barrels.
I was given $250 gift certificate to upgrade my Rock Island 1911.
I was looking at the wilson and the ed brown drop in barrels.
Any others? Or should I have the barrel fitted instead of the Drop-in?
What can I do with the rest of the money?

Where to Buy?
Any other advice/experience?0 -
You might also consider a Les Baer. For optimum results, having a barrel fitted with the bushing and all is the way to go. Brownells probably has the best selection. Most smiths order from there, so you can probably just reach a decision with catalog in hand when you drop off your gun.

Barsto "Marine cut". Great barrel, great accuracy, economically priced. Beach 0 -
I'll second the BarSto suggestion - their Marine cut needs fitting though (any 1911 'smiths you recommend Beach'?) but - at $195 - is an excellent place to begin. 0 -
there's alot of great options out there, but I highly advise that whatever u get be professionally fitted
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
