1911 questions
greetings, i have a couple questions concerning 1911 clones. 1. will a systema slide fit on the para-ord. ss frame? 2. will the caspin slide fit the essex frame? respt submitted dads-freehold

Hi I was hoping I could find some information out about my guns. I have a Colt 1911 Model 45 with checkered wood grips. I did some research on the internet and I believe it is a 1921. The code on it is C-128xxx. I was hoping you could confirm the year and give me a range on the price. I do not know a whole lot about guns but I believe it is in the 90% range as far as condition. I really like it and am going to keep it but would like to know for insurance purposes and if I absolutely had to sell it.
I also have a Colt Woodsman series 2 in a 4 1/2 in barrel. I also did some research on it and found out it was the first to have the release for the magazine on the left grip by the thumb. The model number on it is 728xx-S. I would like the same info for it.
Thanks for your time and any information you can give me. I would like to know more about my firearms and figured this was a good place to ask.
Thanks

1. only if the para is a single stack magazine type like colt. 2. yes. 0 -
All Colt clones slides should theoretically fit all Colt clone frames even hi-cap frames; however, not all do and not all fit well. How many drop-in parts are really drop-in, most require at least a little fitting. Kinda the same idea. No 2 places have the same tolerences. 0 -
greetings again, thanks guys , i have been working a 1911 project based on an essex ss frame and was looking to put the caspin deep blue slide on it, but didn't want to shell out a couple hundred if don't fit. any who while surfing for the slide i ran across a p-14 ss frame for a song (a real purty song) and dear old bro has a systema slide... so now i'm looking to my next long range project. so any advice is appreciated, thanks again. respt submitted dads-freehold
