Which Gun Safe To Buy

I'm looking for advise on a gun safe. I have about $1500.00 to spend and need 20+ gun capacity. As you all know there is a miriad of safes on the market and each one claims to be the best? Help a fellow gunner out. What did you buy and why? What would you buy and why? Thanks to all replies.

    I bought a Liberty. I liked the concealed hinges for one, though many other offer the same setup. There are SO many different ones to chose, you just need to decide what you wnat in regards to finish, fire rating and strength then see what you can get the best deal on. If I were to buy another one (which I need) I would probably buy another Liberty or a Fort Knox ...

    I got a 10-gun (+lots of room for ammo) American Security safe, and I am very pleased with it. I've heard nothing but good things about AMSEC and my safe (which comes in a 20-gun very I believe) cost me only $870.

    Almost anytime,not all but most of the time your High quality safes are made by the same company and painted and marked as the Brand.The largest safe manufacturer in the US is Bates.Yes the same company that makes caskets.As long as it has s good UL rateing and is of good quality its a matter of picking the color.Just a reminder be sure you put a dehumidifier in your safe to keep moisture out.

    I like the Zanotti Armor safe. It is constructed of 6 interlocking sections, so you don't have to hire professionals when you move.

    I believe that all but the cheapest crap will keep your valuables safe from the bad guys. As long as its bolted down or big enough so it can't be carried off. My main concern is fire, get one with a good UL fire rating. I'm partial to Fort Knox and I got a great deal on a used Yeager a few years ago. Good luck Kc
    Ps You can have the heaviest door the best lock and 50 1" locking bolts
    but I bet you can torch a new door in the side in about 20 minutes (no I haven't tried it)

    Walmart has a great deal on sentry safes. For just over $300 I got a 14 gun safe thats fully lined with a dial combination type lock, 5 one inch locking lugs, internal hinges, 3/16" steel plate construction and an adjustable shelf.

    When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

    Fort Knox with the optional higher fire rated door . Good for valuables, documents and firearms. Figure out what size you think you need, then buy the next size up

    There are often local manufacturers who build a decent safe, check your phone book if you live in or near a metro area.

    I have 2 Cannons, fire rated, with digital keypads. I welded them together and bolted them to the concrete floor.

    I am leaning towards Fort Knox. The only thing I did not like is the door thickness is 3/16" thick and the sides are 12ga. thick. Fire rating is 1200* / 30 min. What do you guys think about the thicknesses? Construction seam very good. Quality is excellent! Weight is about 700# Price $1215.oo OTD.
