I had some trouble with mine, particularly in chambering. Makarov.com fixed that with a new high stength recoil spring. Now the gun works fine and it is well worth the money. I find that Wolf ammo is too powerful, it hurts the hand. Go with another brand and it is fun and accurate for what it is. I handload personally, using Lee 95 gr. cast bullets and B'eye powder. No trouble holding about a 12" group at 20 yards; not great but fun! SOme aftermarket parts for these are starting to come out so go for it.

They were only offering one when I got it and did not list the # but looking at the sight now, it was probably the 13#.

I have 2 9x18 and 1 .380, and the are nice little guns. I like the makarov cartridge and I also reload it. I even bought Lee bullet mold and cast my own. The only problems I have had is that some of the commercial hollow point ammo is a little to long to fit in the magazine. The double action on these guns is very heavyand the recoil is a little heavy. The Makarov pistols are a lot better guns. They are steel and my East German guns are very accurate. The pa-63 is a good carry gun as it is smaller and lighter, but there are sacrifices for those features.
