101 winchester 20 guage question

My father has a pigeon grade 101 winchester. the # is pk 274 xxx e. do any of you know what the pk and e mean in the serial #? Was this a special order gun? It has 8 chokes and a beautiful presentation case.

  My Pigeon Grade 20 guage has the same numbering series. The gun was originally shipped with a hard case and six chokes. It uses an standard internal Winchoke so additional chokes can be purchased.
