Remington Model 12 in 22 short only

I have all the parts to put two Gallery Specials together now and have a question on the stock. I can't find any pictures of the Gallery Special and would like to know if it had the plastic butt plate or the over the top metal butt plate? Would appreciate someones help on that. Thanks. Fred

  Hello All:
  
  I have two Remington Model 12 Gallery Specials that I am restoring. I have all the parts except for the stocks. Can anyone advise what type of stock was standard on the Gallery Specials? Was is the straight plastic butt plate style or the over the top metal butt plate? I want these original since serial numbers all match on receiver and trigger mechanism.

  It was the same style as on the 12c, cresent metal but plate.I am also restoring a couple. but one of my barrels has been set back so far that it is not usable. You wouldn't happen to have an extra or know where I can get one.
