    I own a few Glocks,none a model 30.No trouble with them ever.They are not pretty but they sure work.CW

    I've got a 21 that I've had for several years ... a couple or three thousand rounds ... never a problem, don't remember it ever jamming, stovepipe or FTF, I would trust my life with it ... that led me to buy a 30 a few months age, its got about 700 rounds down the pipe and it runs as good as the 21 so far ... the ones I've seen/heard that went KB were .40's ... currently all my 1911 style pistols are Kimbers so I can't compare the Para-Carry.

    This is the first time I have heard of premature wear on the recoil spring!! I have seen the results of a KB on a G23. Upon closer inspection it seemed that operator headspace was the main problem. Seems that the overzealous owner had polished the feed ramp with his trusty Dremel tool with a little to much enthusiasim. Removed enough metal to leave the case completely unsupported. It was nice and shiny though.

    The PO LDA line is very nice. I have the full size and it has proven utterly reliable and accurate. Don't have any personal experience with the ParaCarry but it should be everything you would want.

    Go with the one that feels and points the best for you. Either is a good choice.

    I bought a used model 30 a couple of months ago and have fired about a 1000 round so far without a problem. I was wondering about the recoil spring life since it uses a double round spring system instead of the flat springs that are in the bigger Glock, so I asked a trained Glock gunsmith. He said there were some problems with some of the first spring units that were used. The plastic ends on the retainers that held them together were failing, and Glock has modified the design. He said that the current spring units are good for 30,000 rounds. The only thing I don't like about the gun is that it will not function with lead bullets. As long as you use a reasonably warm jacketed bullet load, it seems to work perfectly. I know that Glock doesn't want you to shoot reloads, but I am too cheap not to roll my own.
