Browning Buckmark Field Test
The Slab Side Nickle Plated Browning Buckmark with 5.5" bbl I purchased last week performed flawlessly over the weekend. It was fed allmost four hundred rounds of ammo over a two day period with "0" malfunctions. The ammo that was used mostly was plain jane winchester lead headed hollowpoints that came in a silver and black box with red lettering (quantity 500 loose). I also put a box of CCI Blasers through it and several stingers. The acuracy was great and I was able to do better than usual. For instance, after I shot up every target that I had and every tin can I could find, I decided that seeing as how this little marvel seemed to be shooting so well I would push both the limits of my abilities and my eye sight. I placed a quarter in a crack in the stump I was shooting cans off of and marched off twenty paces. I took aim and shot, "PING", I was amazed that I hit it. My daughter and I then searched for the quarter but we could not find it. At that, I decided to find out if the shot was a fluke, I spotted a starling setting in a tree about forty yards or so away and "POW", feathers flew, starling flops to the ground dead as a door knob. I am sold on this little jewell, the Browning Buckmark is a keeper and is my 22 pistole of choice. I have had two Ruger Mark II's and they were fine little shooters but the Buckmark just performs better for me.

Spring Creek, Have you ever taken the adjustable sight off of the sight base? If so is the small roll pin the only thing that holds it on?

Would like to know the answer to your question, too.
The 9 3/4" Varmint Buckmark that I shoot the by far the most, didn't come with sights so I'll look at one of the other ones.0 -
