Adjustments for the Canjar trigger
I need expert help. I have aquired my father's Rem 581 with a model 788-1 Canjar trigger installed. After shooting over 5000 rounds in competition, the sear was not consistently catch the striker on the bolt. I adjusted the sear engagement screw and now it engages the striker consistantly but the trigger movement now has a terrible "catch" requireing about 2# to move the trigger back to where the trigger breaks. It use to be a beautiful single stage trigger.. it now is a two stage with a gritty feel. Can anyone help? Does Canjar still exsists?

I thinks that it's a good idea to call Canjar and see what they say.

you might try some Birchwood/Casey gun scrubber, followed by a light spray of oil, then readjust. 0
