.25 auto identity and parts scource leads
1. 6.35 browning (.25 acp) semiautomatic pistol
2. baby browning clone
3. slide is marked "PISTOLET GEUGEOT" "CALIBRE 6.35/m"
there is a lion(?) facing towards the front of the gun standing on an arrow pointing towards the front of the gun.
4. the grips are marked "GEUGEOT" angling up and to the rear slightly
5. 2 position saftey forward of the grips.
6. the slide can be made to stay open with a detent on the slide towards the front of the gun.
i think it is french, but the only gun i could find that resembled it closely is made in spain. the gun is without a magazine.
who made it?
when was it made?
country of origin?
value?
scource of magazine, or one that will work in it?

Could be Belgian, but dozens (maybe hundreds) of brands of this type of auto were made in Europe in the early-to-mid 1900's. There's no collector interest; value is zip.
If you can find a mag that works, have fun with it; otherwise, I'd put it in my "Hold for gun buy-back program" box.

My bet is that it's Belgian. Look for a proofmark E over LG

Many, many thousands of these "Baby Browning" copies and clones were made in Belgium, France, Germany, and the Eibar Region of Spain.
I agree that your's sounds Belgian. I doubt if any parts are available for it, and it's doubtful that any parts made for the Colt or FN Browning versions of this pistol would fit.
Why don't you clean it up, frame it, hang it on the wall and tell your friends that it was John Dillinger's back-up gun.

hey guys, thanx for trying. the pistol belongs to a customer, and he would like to keep it if he can shoot it. i am pondering placing an order for a magazine from a similar pistol to see if i get lucky and it fits. i told him i would ask around on GB to see if anybody could ID it. the gun is in real nice shape, not a badley made knock off/clone. we have a book at the shop that is the holy grail of pocket pistols and small semiautos, but its not listed. there are 2 virtualy identical pistols, one from france and one from spain.

This seems to be a fairly well-made pistol, all steel, close-fitting parts, not at all like many of the junkers you see. Not sure where it was made as none of the books I have mention it.
I put in a magazine of an early Colt Pocket auto and it fit and cycled the rounds by hand perfectly. I haven't shot it, but I don't doubt it will shoot because it chambers and ejects so well when cycled briskly.
Triple K may have it in their newer book, but not in mine.
Try the Colt mag, it may be a good shooter if it's in good shape.0
