Value of a Beretta police 1200FP?

I came across a Beretta 1200FP police shotgun...semi-auto, 12gauge in a gunshop. It came out of a department. It had some slight handling marks. Its is in pretty good condition. It did not have much use. It does not appear to have been racked in a patrol car or anything.

The gun is very light and has a long mag tube I would say atleast 6 rounds. Maybe 8?

The price is 550.00 It seems like a fare deal. I am semi-interested in it. Is the gun worth much more? Should I jump on it?

  Diablo,,, I have a Beretta 1200FP I bought about 10yrs ago. It is very similar to the Benelli super 90, but holds 1 less round as youcan not load a round on the carrier like you can the super 90.
  The 1200 should hold 7 in the tube plus 1.
  I dont know that it was ever adopted as a "police" shotgun, although Iam sure there are a few depts that have used it. It is a good quality gun, and the price you quoted seems about right if it is in good shape.

  According to the Blue Book.. which I can only find the 1200 field and 1200 Riot... lists the Field at 295 at 90%.... the Riot is listing at 295 at 90%
  
  The 1201FP lists at 325 at 90%.....Might give you a guideline on how much the one you are interested in is worth..
