Colt black powder revolvers - need help
I need some help identifying a couple of Colt black powder revolvers. Both appear to be manufactured by Colt by the addresses engraved on them.
- Dragoon Mod. U.S.M.R. with Calvery and Indian battle engraved on cylinder, S/N 289xx and 89xx on butt.
- Navy with Navy Battle engraved on cylinder, S/N 134xx and 34xx on butt.
Specifically, when were they manufactured? I suspecion they are of recent production but don't know for sure.
Your help is appreciated.

The Captain is right! I just came on to see what is happening and this is the first post I opened tonight.
I assume you can tell by the condition of the revolvers that they are not 150 years old. While the descriptions are a bit sketchy, I assume you have a Model 1951 Navy. If so, this revolver was made in 1974.
The Dragoon is a bit harder still. It appears to have been made between 1980 and 1982, no matter whether it is a First, Second or Third Model.
I do not guarantee the accuracy of either dating. I have not had much interest in most of the reintroduced black powder Colts, but would be interested in a Walker from the 1980 time frame.
Hope this helps.

JudgeColt--
Can you tell me (approximately) the serial number the old guns stopped at?
Also you said, "I assume you have a Model 1951 Navy. If so, this revolver was made in 1974." You did mean 1951 and not 1851 didn't you?
Thanks for your time.

Sorry about the error in saying 1951 instead of 1851. I saw one typo after I submitted the post and corrected that, but did not notice the century error. What's a hundred years among friends?
The 1851 ended at 215348 in 1873, and restarted at 1 (I think) in 1971.
The Dragoons ended at 19800 in 1860, and restarted at 20801 in 1974.0
