French Model 1873 11mm Revolver

OK, the gun I asked about earlier from St. Etienne is a Model 1873. Has Ml. 1873 on top of the barrel in script. Also has S.1876 on side of barrel.

Found out it is an obsolete 11mm revolver used by the French military. Someone apparently neatly bobbed the hammer.

I have two more questions:

Can I count on it being pre-1899 or were some made after that date?

About how much is such a gun worth?

  all of those are pre 1899 because superseded by the 8mm Lebel revolver Model 1892. It is also "antique" in France.
  Your revolver is made in 1876, the date on the barrel.
  Like always, the condition establishes the price, $200 - $800
