Bore site a pistol?

Hey guys, has anyone ever bore sited a pistol before. I looked at one this week end that only refered to rifles. I'm wanting to use it on a 357, but would like to be able to use it on rifles too. Does anyone recomemend one?

  What kind of Bore site Laser, Grid type? Grid types most of the time are for rifles and set at 100 yards just to get you on paper, Laser types can be used up to whatever the manufacture
  says. If you are using open sites on a pistol Save your money.
  go to your local range and do a sandbag rest at 25 yards>

  It's going to be useing a scope, and at 75 yards. So most ranges woun't work, and I all ready have one in the back yard.

  I've used my Burris boresighter on my scoped FA pistols. Works good.

  I enjoy trial and error sight correction on my new (to me) guns, I think it's part of the fun of getting a new toy. I put up a clay bird on the dirt berm and watch where the bullets impact. The range is 50 yds for rifles and 15 for pistols.
  
  I must be lucky though because every gun I've purchased has shot close to point of aim except one. Never had any use for a bore sighter.

  I've had a boresighter for about a year and love it. It saves time and ammo over using a sandbag and blazing away. Actually that can be pretty enjoyable too! What really is slick is use a boresighter on a piece that has a red dot or laser. I have a couple of 22's with red dots. With this combo you don't need any steady rest. Even if your are old and shakey (like me) it doesn't matter. The red dot and boresighter move together. Really sweet.
