CZ550 or Rem.700

Hello,I am going to buy a rifle in 308 win.I know about the rem. but also like the CZ.What would you buy? Thanks,Chris

  700!!! When the barrel is shot out(You probably won't do that) it's a very simple thread and rebarrel! The easiest and probably most efficient action to do this on!! And it's made in the good old USofA!!!!! GHD

  The reminton is a fine rifle, but the CZ's are capable of some outstanding accuracy and feel like a custom built rifle. A shooting buddy bought one this summer for chucks. First time at the range he was shooting factory ammo only. 4 five shot groups at 100, win 150's i think, all holes touched... CZ has a long history of building rifles. They sold many to various combatants in WWII before Germany ran them over.

  Either one would serve you well.I'm partial to remingtons, but the CZs are developing quite a reputation for being quality weapons.If your just going to hunt with it I doubt you'd ever wear it out.The rem.s have a better selection of stock styles and finishes and are easier to do something else with later, but the CZs are more of a classic style on the lines of the sporterized Mausers. --I say go handle each, see which you like the feel of better, and buy either one without reservation......[8D]
