I just bought a 20 guage model 37. I went to check on my manufacturing date, yours should be around 1949. If you want to check it out go to www.ithacagun.com/support/serial/ Hope this helps. 0 -
Hey huntress,I`ve got one in 16-Guage
from 1940,hardly any bluing left on it,
but it`s one of my favorite guns.
I also have M-37 DeerSlayers in 20 and 12 Guage.
I also work on 37s at the shop where I work part time.Last week I got to work on his and hers,a 20 and a 12.....I love the way they are built!
Congrats on a fine 16!
