9mm Blasting Ammo?
Shotgun News has recently run ads for plastic cased, imported 9mm ammo that will work in carbines but not semi auto pistol. Anyone used any of this ammo? What carbines will it work with (i.e. cycle correctly)? Thanks

It is brass cased with a plastic bullet and metal BB tip. I have shot it in a Marlin camp 9 and a Cat 9. It did well in the marlin and marginal in the Cat 9. I've also done some experiments with other non-straight blow back designs, but even lightening the recoil spring so much that you can cycle the slide by wipping the gun, it still won't cycle with the "blasting ammo". 0 -
I got 864 rounds of this and it is CRAPPPPP!!! Do not buy it. I've tried it in 2 pistols and a marlin camp 9. While it will function, the results are pitiful. 12" pattern at 12 feet. I tried everything and it just wasn't working. Don't get suckered. If you don't believe me, pay the shipping and I'll give it to anyone who wants it.

For just plinking and stuff.
I buy the 9mm 100 round(loose) boxes of Winchester from Walmart for $10.97.
It's hot enought to cycle the heavy bolt of the Mac10 9mm I have. It works great in my M11 too.
You can beat the price. I believe it is only available from Walmart...special deal I think.0
