AK value
I'm going to get an AK, but I'm still a little undecided which to do:
1. Build one with a Polish parts kit and a Global Trades receiver. ~ $200
Or
2. But a Romanian or similar assembled rifle ~ $400
Which would be worth more? I see polish built with American receivers going for $500. But it's not really a completely Polish rifle. Does it matter if the receiver doesn't match the rest of the parts? I want something that shoots well, but also like guns that have/hold value.
Opinions?

It sounds like a Norinco brand. And their a very descent gun.Im going by others I have seen for sale, so dont carve this in stone,as I havent got any written info on the price of that particular gun.I would say in the $300.00 range up to $325.00 or so.
Best!!!

It would depend on the precise model, but you may be looking at $800-1100. If it is a true pre-ban with the bayonet and all of the other accessories. The $300-325 range would be even a bit low for one with the thumbhole stock if it is a milled receiver. I am assuming it is a pre-ban if it has a bayonet. That's not to say that someone couldn't have added a bayonet to a post-ban accessory set however. If you had a picture available I could tell you more, or even if you could provide some of the info found on the side of the gun. LRARMSX@MCHSI.COM 0 -
Go to this site (gunbroker custom search feature) and do an old search for "norinco ak47" (without quote marks). It should give you a good idea of real-world prices for chinese AK47s. Of course, it could also be a Polytech, which are generally considered better than the Norinco rifles. You might check by doing a search for that brand, too.

It might be a Poly-Tech Legend, being that it has a Milled reciever.
Check it out...the Poly-Tech Legend is worth quite a bit....if that is what it is I would easily pay 800 for it.0 -
Check and see who the importer is. If it is Keng's I'd say Diablo is spot on the money, it may well be a Polytech Legend. These are some of the best of the breed and are clearly the best of the Chicoms. I never give values but I'd listen to what Diablo says about the price as these retail in $1000 range. There were not too many imported- I think they came in for only one year before the ban and there are not too many of these left NIB.
