hello; what's the best spotting scope on the market with 60 power for the money? aprox $200.oo thanks rick

    Ready to replace my Tasco scope. Any recommendations for a quality benchrest scope (around $500)? Any brand I should steer clear of?

    TR, there are many scopes in that price range.Bushnell, Burris, Weaver. The price starts to climb when you look at "German" names.

    You are looking at pretty much the bottom of the economy models with that budget. If you can live without it and save longer you will be better served. That said, The Bushnell Spacemaster at about $269, or the Eagle optics Denali (about $259)are about as good as you can do in that price range, and either will be surprisingly good for the price. Take a look at www.eagleoptics.com and look at spotting scopes

    Howdy, I bought a Burris Landmark last year and it is clear as can be, and works great. No complaints from me for buying a "cheap" scope. I've only had it one season, I'll know in a few years if it holds up and was worth the purchase. I do "use" my optics hard. I believe I paid around $175 for it new. I'm going to assume its right in their with the Spacemaster as far as quality. I wanted a 500 dollar sp.scope too but thats just to much money. Its kinda like a Rifle. A $1200 "upper" end rifle will kill NO more deer than a $300 dollar savage. Its whos shooting it that counts.
