Any experiance with Brno
EAA is importing a gun on the Mauser 98 action its Czech-made and called the Brno98 now I'm not a big fan of these kinds of guns(cheap imports) but this one looks to have promise. Any body have any experiance or knowledge of these. I'm looking at this rifle and it's talking to me.

i LOVE mauser 98 actions- any caliber, from any country.
i resent anyone calling them "cheap imports".
most american modern guns are descendants of the '98 action.

The BRNO is not a cheap gun,the rifle Nunn mentioned and your speaking of I cant say anything about.But did you know BRNO is owned and operated by (CZ)far from cheap one of the best gun makers in the world.I have a BRNO 22 rifle that would be suitable to shoot Match with.It has a nice checkered Black Walnut stock.The only fault with it in mw view is the strait Bolt,but Im getting used to it.

The BRNO you refer to is a very inexpensive rifle. Action is as good as they get, a 98 Mauser.
If you buy one, plan on spending the money for a low safety.

I'm very familiar with the 98's reputation that is why I have now ordered the gun,compaired with some other guns on the market the 339.00 price tag is CHEAP.And it is imported from another country. As for being an avrage Joe I am and proud of it Not someone writing in annonnimity infering that I know more or better than anyone else, after all I am on this site asking/looking for information trying to make an informed judgment. I appoligise for any offince I may have given by my cheap import referance, it surely was not my intension.Then to have interstatepawnllc refer to me as a clown after reading a one paragraph question brings discredit to the site. Hey Rugster! Did YOU know that BRNO is not owned by CZ. They are separate companies. Always have been. The confusion comes about from the fact that CZ did make BRNO guns.The communist regime dictated who made what guns. BRNO has all the rights to their guns again. 0
