Mossberg Model M, 22 pump rifle
I'd been looking a long time for one of these, so I bought one on auction last spring even though the breech block was missing. Two people responded to my plea on these forums and offered to send photos and/or dimensions so I'll know what to look for, but my computer self-destructed before we completed arrangements and now I can't find them either in my old files or in the forum archives. If anyone reading this has one of these guns(I believe Models K and S use the same block) and would take it out and photograph it for me, they'll have my undying gratitude. And if that's not enough, we could talk about a swap. TIA jhelck@optonline.net

Slideact - I was going to get a picture for you of my Dad's model K but when I asked him to get it out he got all goofy .... HE SOLD IT ! One of the ones I don't have in my collection and he sold it on me. Him make me angry sometimes ...
So, sorry I can't help you. Did you by chance catch the auction for the Meriden model 15 over on the udder site ?

Pact- Thanks for responding. I don't know whether I need the early or late, but I'll e-mail you shortly with my SN and hopefully we can figure it out.
Taz- Now I really feel bad about being unable to follow-up last spring. Hey, maybe I could have been the one who bought it! And thanks for the heads-up on the Meriden, I did get this one.0 -

Slideact.22 Both styles will work on your rifle. Speaking of Meridens. The bolt from the Meriden is almost identical to that of the mossberg, and can be adapted to work in the mossberg. In fact Authur Savage designed the Model k and mossberg bought the tooling and design for $1.00. Savage also designed the Meriden. 0
