About 40,000-42,000. But that could be debatable as this is simply the 336 action and that model was chambered in the 375 Winchester which is a 50,000 CUP cartridge.

IS THIS A 'NEW' M-1895 OR AN 'OLD' M-1895? ( ROUND BREECH BOLT OR SQUARE BREECH BOLT) THE NEW ONES WILL HANDLE MORE PRESSURE. THE HORMADY RELOADING MANUAL LISTS LOADS FOR THE 'NEW' M-1895.

several loading manuals list loads for different levels in the 45/70, they don't necessary list CUP, springfeild 1873, contender, marlin, ruger #1, i don't recommend going above the MAX load, start 10% low & work up, looking for pressure signs, if you find a load below MAX that shoots a good group STOP!! why go further. I WILL GUARANTEE AS YOU REACH MAX LOAD FOR THE MARLIN LISTED IN ANY LOADING MANUAL, IT'S GOING TO ROCK YOUR WORLD!!! HOLD ON TIGHT.
