nitron finish on sig

Can someone tell me about the new "nitron" finish on sig's? what is this? Is it durable? how glossy?

  Im going to try to explain this to the best of my ability.Is it durable? Yes the Nitron finish is very durable.Is it Glossy no,I put silicone on my Sigs to protect them.And that leaves a shiny film.What is Nitron? I hope someone can answer that for you all I could tell you is its a chemical that seals up the pores in metal to help prevent Corrosion.Hope this has been of somee help.
