10/22 trigger job
I would like to lower the trigger pull on my Ruger. I have seen trigger assemblys for 185.00. I have also seen 10-15$ spring kits, and 50-60$ spring kits, with other parts. Has anyone here done this themselves? What's the best way to lower the trigger pull to around 3 lbs.?

Man, what a wide open question.
Anyway, unless you are able/willing to correctly stone the angles of the sear and hammer on your trigger group, I would suggest purchasing an already prepped and matched trigger/sear unit. Ron Power and Volquartsen (among others) offers these, and Brownells Inc is a good source. Also look into replacing the factory springs.
There is substantially more than goes into a complete trigger job on these rifles, but that is a good start. Our custom 10/22's generally go on the light side of 2#.

What I am looking for is a cheap way to do this myself. I'm not grinding anything. I want something to bolt on, or replace.

i have the power custom hammer and spring in one of mine and volquartsen parts in another both will drop them and both work well
when in dought empty the MAG0 -
Cheap equals dangerous and/or unreliable. Get a drop in kit from Volquartsen (or other reputable firm) and let your local smith install it. If money is a problem, get the kit now and have him install it later when you have more money.
Trust me on this one: a properly done trigger job with good parts is worth it.

I put a sear and hammer kit from Power Custom in mine and am happy with the results.About 55 bucks from Midway. 0
