Sharps Value Help - Post Civil War
I have a post war Sharp's Carbine believed to be a Meecham type conversion sporting rifle. I'm trying to value the gun and I'm looking for any assistance. Some pictures may be viewed at

Based on the NRA Antique ratings and not being an expert I would rate the condition as "Good" to "Very Good", possibly "Fine". The inside of the barrel appears clean and twisted (rifled).
The rifle has the following features; First is a full octagon 30 inch barrel. The barrel is believed the correct type for a Bridgeport gun, so is not considered a leftover from the Hartford operation. The other feature is a checkered stock wrist. The forestock is believed a gunsmith replacement from that era as it has no checkering. Finally, the gun has set triggers.
More detail;
On top of the barrel shows 45 Calibre. The Hammer appears on the right side. The left side opposite the hammer reads "Sharps Pat Sept 12, 1848". The right side behind the hammer towards the stock reads "C. Sharps Pat Oct. 5, 1852" Under the sight reads "RS Lawrence Patented Feb 15, 1859" The serial number is C, 45013. On the barrel in front of the sight reads "Old Reliable Sharps Rifle Company Bridegport CT"

my grandpa has a rifle just about identical to yours only his the barrel is octagon to the end of the fore stock then the rest of the barrel is round also if i remember right the barrel is shorter and only has one trigger. i have yet to figure out exactly what rifle it is for sure pretty sure it is a meecham conversion. blue book shows the vaule of these pretty high like several thousand dollars. told my grandpa i would like to buy the rifle from him but is worth way more than i can afford to pay for it.
