    Kenneth, I've seen a few of these Miroku revolvers. Yours was known as the Police Model when marketed in europe and asia. It was pretty much a copy of a D frame Colt...notice how the cylinder latch is an exact copy of the Colt's. If I remember these retailed for around $70. Not too bad, but then a Colt Detective Special was going for $85 at the time. There were a few of these imported into the United States during the late 1960's, but importation became more and more difficult due to the Japanese governments policy of restricting sales of weapons (a pistol by their standard was a weapon) to countries involved in active hostilities. This included our involvement in the Viet Nam conflict.

    The few Miroku's I've seen show good quality and there would be no problem shooting this revolver. There is zero collector interest in these and spare parts are impossible to find. There are a few folks who collect foreign copies of Colts and there may be some interest there, otherwise I'd say either shoot it our put it in a safe place.

    Evening Ken: The Gun in question is the MIROKU Model 6, .38 Special, Swing-Out Cylinder..In Excellent Condition is only worth $150.00....Just No collector value.....
