Resizing 7.62x39 to 6mm ppc
I have heard that this can be done. Does anyone have any advice as to the proper practice of doing it? Also does anyone have any good sources for 6mm ppc new brass?
Thanks,

I've done it for about 11 years, but not the 6MM, I do the 22PPC from 7.62 X 39. I remove the sizing mandrel, chamfer the OD, apply Imperial wax and size. I do use a PPC gage. I then put the mandrel back and finish size the brass, be sure to lube the ID every time, it will still require fire forming. Some brass requires you to neck turn, it will depend on you chamber size and the brass.
You will note that the 7.62 X 39 brass does not fit the PPC die on the main body when you are necking it down. If you chamfer the OD poorly it will push the neck off center. I use a piloted chamfer tool so it is a concentric OD chamfer.
Get behind early, then you have more time to catch up.0 -

Where did you get your piloted OD chamfer tool?0 -
Have you considered necking 220 Russian up?
