Did Sako ever make a Finnbear with a ported barrel?

Sako is now made by Magnum Research there could be some comparisons made with some assumptions but I think your best bet would be to look in old referance works or go to an auction site and hope to see one for sale and see what the price is. I know this is not much help but it,s all I got. Good Luck

Sako is not now nor has it ever been owned, made or manufactured by Magnum Research. Sako is currently owned by Beretta of Italy. Up until that purchase Sako as a company was operated out of Finland.

Magnum Research purchased Sako receivers from Sako for the purpose of 'smithing a "premium" hunting rifle. The top of the receivers were ground to a Remington radius so that scope mounts could be more easily and cheaply obtained. Kreiger barrels were threaded and chambered and both were put into an HS Precision stock with the aluminum bedding block.

When a firearm is test fired by the owner, it becomes used. Maybe it is in excellent condition, but it is used none the less. The Hunter version is the lesser of all the levels available since it was expected to be used in the field and not hung on a wall or left in a cabinet to impress your friends. Current pricing seems to run in the $600.00 to $800.00 without a scope as the scope is negotiable.

    Regards.

A sako deluxe rifle brings a high price. E-mail me with more details and I can find a true value for you.

You might find another value but not necessarily a more true value since that is very subjective and your opinion.
