What's your preference in AR USGI mags?
I am building a small cache of magazines and was curious as to what 30 round USGI magazines will hold up the best? My primary concern is the welds! Does it make a difference on how deep the spot welds go into the aluminum? I have Adventure Line, Okay, and Sanchez and what I have noticed is the welds on the Okay seem to be not as deep as the Sanchez and Adventure Line! Also I have some Sanchez magazines NIW with the green followers (7/88) that the finish seems weak! With normal use the finish comes off to expose bare aluminum not the familiar light green anodizing! Has anyone else experienced this?

From what I have read, there were only 2 makers that ever had any problems with their mags. The first was Sanchez, and the second was Cooper. The early Sanchez mags with the green followers were supposedly out of spec. The Coopers were actually recalled by the Army. As far as I know, The Coopers were the only mags actually pulled off the shelves by the Army. I have used all of them and they all work in my AR's. Just stay with USGI and never any of the aftermarkets and you should be just fine.... 0 -

My personal preference is Colts.
I'd suggest you go over to AR15.com and read the mag FAQ.
