Taurus?
I feel like I'm posting like crazy, but....
Taurus appears to have inexpensive revolvers. Why? Would a similar used S&W be worth the same as a new Taurus? Does anyone have any experience with the guns? Does any one have any comments about their performance?
I am more of a sport target shooter.

Taurus revolvers are good well made guns. They used to have slightly less fine finishes but the ones of later years have a fit and finish almost as good as SW.I have a few and would feel as safe with them as any other gun of same caliber.CW

I agree that Taurus makes some excellent revolvers, but from what I find the only way to tell the difference is to hold them side by side, and the experienced shooter will know. Personally if I were deciding between the two, and I had the money, I'd get the S&W.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

I have 2 taurus revolvers and they are both excellent guns. I have a .357 Tracker with 6.5 in bbl that everybody that shoots it wants it. I also have a 85 ultra-lite and for a 2 in bbl it shoots very well. For the price I don't think you can beat them. 0 -
Ruger! Taurus is pretty good, have two. Excellent customer service from Taurus. But, if you have the bucks take a S&W over the Taurus.

Taurus does well in the revolver and the price is good. Personally I prefer S&W. In fact if I had to pick one gun above all others, it would be a tooth and nail battle between my 686 357 Mag and my Colt 1911.

Taurus is a fine gunmaker. There products are some of the best in the industry. That said, I would prefer the S&W revolver over Taurus for one reason. S&W's have much better, smoother & faster triggers. Its really the only reason I'd choose them over Taurus for a revovler. If thats not a big deal to you buy a Taurus & save some money!!! RG 0
