need info on "falling block works" rifle
i aquired a rifle from my grandfathers estate and need info on it.the only markings on receiver are "Falling Block Works,Maybee,Michigan".it is 39" long w/ a 22" barrel.it is chambered for the .32 S&W Long.has no iron sights,just a scope.does any one have any info on when it was made and its value?

THESE WERE MADE IN THE 60'S AND MAYBE 1970'S, THE COMPANY WAS SOLD SEVERAL TIMES AND MOVED SO THERE ARE SEVERAL ADDRESS'S FOR IT. GENERALY A VERY GOOD ACTION. 0 COLLECTOR INTEREST JUST A GOOD SHOOTER. 0 -
thanks mike,i have scoured the internet and can find very little info on it.heck ,i dont even know what it is worth for insurance purposes.i saw one on another site chambered for the 25-20 cartridge and it sold for 1450.00

DGD, maybe not much collector interest, but plenty of interest from the single shot clan. These were well made actions that were relatively inexpensive "back when" (what wasn't?) and have escalated in value greatly.
