Chances are nearly 100% that this was an AR-180 magazine. These rifles were produced by Sterling Armament starting in the mid 1970's. Most of these magazines were cut so that they could be used in both the AR-180 and the Colt AR-15. These are fine magazines and if modified for the AR-15 would work very well in either rifle.

thanks mark what would this mag be worth? don 0 -
i have owned several ar 180sand most 20 round mags are painted black. however i have a 20 and 30 round mag that have a mil spec finish as though the were gov contract. i would suspect that to the right buyer 40 to fifty dollars would be fair. 0
