Fiber optic sights
Do they make them to fit on a Remington 700? If so, who makes them?
Thanks,
Jon

An older genleman I shoot with is having trouble with seeing the sights on a 1911 with standard sights,he is considering having a set of TRU-GLOW FIRESIGHTS installed on his gun. Anybody have experience with these or similar illuminating sights? 0 -
I have a S&W Model 66 with the HiViz optic sight. Really very good, much better than I expected.
The standard 1911 mil 'hump and bump' sights are pretty awful. Mine were replaced with a Kings Hardball three white dot set that are a great improvement. If I were doing it again today, I'd probably opt for Express Sight's Big Dot (if you can't see that, you need a tin cup) or maybe a fiber optic set.
I'm assuming that your friend has been to the optometrist in recent history. The best sights work better with a good pair of glasses.

I have stock fiber optic sights on a TC Black Diamond. They are OK but certainly not glow in the dark. They probably would help someone with poor vision a bit, but I would suggest he try to look at some such sights before investing.
