Crackshot and 1890 WRF question
2 questions for you guys.
I have a #26 lever action crackshot. Recently recieved (free), a crackshot I've never seen before, it is not a lever action, but a thumb lever on the right side of reciever, rolling/drop block. Only markings on reciever is a "V" and a "1" on the lower tang. Barrel is has usual stevens marks plus "*crackshot*" over "22 long rifle". What is this and are parts hard to find. Ejector is only 1/16" compared to other crackshots,little scouts, 3/16" Thin ejector has broken at the tip, only thing wrong with it.
2nd;
I have a Winchest 1890 WRF, takedown. ser# 2595xx Good shooter in good+ shape. Only problem is barrel is 17". Someone cut it down. Before I start looking around at the shows, what price should I expect to pay for an original barrel for this gun. barrel is marked "-MOD. 1890-" not model 90. Also has "22 W.R.F" and top near reciever is an oval with a "W" in it. I dont expect or want a good+ or excellent barrel, just an orignal that matches condition on this one.
Thanks!
Mike
