    Just found some new information for the rifle and thought I'd post it,

    If you're open guesses, I'd guess it was a sporter built a German Mauser '98K action, converted to .308.

    The six-pointed star with a "J" MAY indicate that this action came from a German 98K (manufactured in Czechlovakia) that was sold to the Israelis just after WWII by the Czechs and used in the war of Israeli Independence.....and later imported as surplus by Armscorp and turned into a sporter.

    As I said, this is a guess. However Czechlovakia was the primary arms supplier to the Israelis during the 1948 War of Independence....and the 98K was the primary rifle of the Israeli Army.

    The primary aircraft of the IAF was the Avia S 99....a Czech-built version of the Messerschmitt Bf-109G. (no extra charge for this info)
