Questions on Model 12 Winchester.
I have a Model 12 20 guage with the Long tubular magazine. I believe it was made in the 1920's. the serial number is :295501 )(The barrel is stamped Nickel Steel, Full choke. This gun is not in perfect condition. The reciever is mainly "nickel" colored with some pitting and the wood is fair. It basically was hunted with for quite awhile although it is still a nice old shotgun and mechanically its very sound. I don't hunt with it now and wantto know approximately what it is worth and what year it was made. Thanks a bunch.

Looks like it was made in 1922. The 20 ga. was made with a 2 1/2 inch
chamber until 1927, unless it has been modified since leaving the
factory, or rebarreled. Need to know barrel length, choke, ribbed or not, if ribbed-solid or ventilated? Does the serial number on the
bottom of the receiver match the number on the rear of the mag. tube?

your Winchester was made in 1922 and in the condition you state should bring around 350 or so. This is assuming it is a field grade with a full choke and not messed with[ no re-blue, pad added, poly choke, ect ]. If it has a ribbed barrel, deluxe wood, mod or cyl choke it could be worth up to double the 350 in the same well used but not abused condition.... 0
