26.5mm flares
Does anyone know where to get 26.5mm flares or the adapter to 12ga ? Thanks

mullet, keep in mind that placing an adaptor into your flare pistol that will fire 12ga. shotgun shells will be manufacturing a short barreled shotgun. If the flare pistol has a barrel between 12 and 18 inches it would be an any other weapon. Either catagory is going to involve a $200 National Firearms Act Tax. If you can devise a way to allow the pistol to chamber ONLY 12ga. BLANK shells it would be exempt. If you are not using a pistol for flare launching, but some sort of shoulder weapon, the minimum legal barrel length would be 18 inches.

Try a marine supply place. That'd be boat owners not the boat people's cannon fodder. It depends on where you are if you'll find 'em. I know a guy who had a sail boat on Lake Champlain. One side of the border says you must have a flare gun. The other says it's illegal. Seems to me he said the boat cops looked the other way. 0 -
