Reloading 32 Rem. with 32 spl. dies
I recently picked up a nice Rem. mdl. 8 in 32 rem. cal.I would like to load some ammo to use for deer hunting this year.Is there any reason why i can't reload 32 remington cases with 32 win. spl. dies,as long as i use a shell holder for the 32 rem?The cases seem to be identical other than being rimmed and rimless.Would like to hear your thoughts on this.Thanks. No reason not to use the .32 spl.dies.Also the .30 Rem. can be loaded with 30/30 dies with a different shell holder also.

It depends on how tight your chamber is. Try resizing a couple of fired cases and loading them using a good crimp. The 32Win Spl is a little fatter in the shoulder. The FL die mightn't size the shoulder enough and the crimping operation could bulge the shoulder in the 32Win Spl die, making it difficult to chamber.
If it turns out to be a problem, look for a Lee Collet Crimping Die.0 -
I have an old reloading manual. The Handbook of Cast Bullets By Lyman Copyright July 1958. All is says is for .32 Rem. reduce max.charge 2 grains.Does not give case measurements for the .32 Rem.
